The short version
Short answer: not for growth. I have been on Premium+ for about two months and I have not noticed a meaningful difference in reach, replies or followers. It is hard to prove either way, but nothing in my numbers moved when I upgraded.
The extra $32 a month buys SuperGrok, an ad-free feed, X Pro and Radar Search. Upgrade if you will use those every day. Stay on Premium if you are paying for reach.

More people have started asking me this, usually right after they qualify for payouts and wonder if the higher tier earns more or grows faster. Here is what the upgrade actually includes, what happened to my own numbers, and who I think it is for.
What the extra $32 a month buys
Everything that matters for growing an account, the checkmark and access to Original Content Rewards, is already in Premium. Premium+ adds comfort and tools on top:

What happened to my reach after upgrading
I moved to Premium+ at the end of July. If the bigger reply boost or anything else in the tier helped reach, the typical post in August and September should have done better than the typical post before it. It did not:

This is one account, not an experiment. Topics, posting volume and what X was pushing all changed from month to month, and June had some of my biggest posts. What the chart does rule out is an obvious lift from the upgrade. If Premium+ added reach, it was small enough to disappear in normal month-to-month noise.
I tried X Pro. Going through my posts was easier.
X Pro was the feature I expected to use most. It shows several live columns side by side: notifications, searches, lists, your own posts. For someone monitoring a dozen searches it makes sense.
My daily job is simpler. I open each of my recent posts and reply to every comment. Doing that one post at a time, with the whole thread in view, turned out to be faster than managing columns. I kept going back to the normal app.
The bottleneck was never the dashboard. It was sitting down and answering people.
The time goes into writing the replies, not into finding them.
That habit, answering everyone and keeping conversations going, did far more for my growth than any tier. I wrote about it in how to network on X.
Does Premium+ earn more from payouts?
Not as far as anything X has published. Both Premium and Premium+ qualify for Original Content Rewards on the same terms, and X has not announced a higher rate for Premium+. If you are upgrading to earn more, the math is simple: the upgrade has to raise your payout by $32 a month just to break even.

Who should upgrade
Premium+
Worth it for the extras, not for growth.
You use Grok heavily every day, you want a feed with no ads, or you monitor many searches and accounts at once in X Pro.
You want more reach, more followers or bigger payouts. Nothing X publishes, and nothing in my two months, points to Premium+ delivering those.

Common questions
Is it worth upgrading from Premium to Premium+ on X?
For growth, not in my experience. I used Premium+ for about two months and saw no meaningful change in reach: my median impressions per original post were about 2,500 in both Premium+ months, against about 3,100 the month before. Upgrade if you will use SuperGrok, an ad-free feed or X Pro every day, not for more reach.
How much more does Premium+ cost than Premium?
In the US on the web, Premium is $8 a month and Premium+ is $40, so the upgrade costs $32 a month or $384 a year. Annual plans are $84 and $395. In most of the EU it is €8 against €38 a month. Prices vary by country and app store.
Does Premium+ pay more from Original Content Rewards?
X does not publish a higher payout rate for Premium+. Both tiers qualify for Original Content Rewards on the same terms, and payouts are based on qualified impressions from Premium users. Upgrading to earn more is not supported by anything X has published.
Does Premium+ give your replies more reach?
Premium+ gets the "largest" reply prioritization against "larger" on Premium. X describes the effect as a slight preference for verified replies and says it is still testing the levels. I could not see a difference in my own numbers.
Is X Pro worth it for managing replies?
It depends on how you work. X Pro shows several live columns at once, which suits people monitoring many searches or accounts. For replying to your own comments, I found it faster to open my posts one by one and answer every comment in context.
