On September 7, X replaced Creator Revenue Sharing with Original Content Rewards. New rules, a new eligibility bar, and no published rate, so nobody knew if the new program would pay less. Here is what one real account earned, with every number behind it.

Against that last old-program period: 29% fewer replies, 13% more money. Two posts also went semi-viral in these two weeks.
My best old-program period paid $1.47 per 1,000 verified, and a quiet one paid about $0.39. So the rate always moved from period to period. The new program lands right inside the range the old one already had.
What changed and what did not
What changed is who gets in and which posts count. You now need 500,000 verified Home timeline impressions in 90 days, and X reviews your account for original content. Clips, reposts and lightly edited copies no longer earn. The full rules are in how to qualify for Original Content Rewards.
What did not change is what gets paid once you are in. Verified impressions on posts you wrote yourself still drive the payout, and conversation on your own posts still drives the verified impressions. If you were already posting original work and replying under it, nothing about your routine needs to change.
My plan is the same as before: about eight posts a day, then reply to the comments under them. New program, same strategy.

X does not publish a fixed rate, and it pays on impressions from verified and Premium users, so impressions from everyone else add little. The rate moves with your niche and with how much conversation your posts get.
How much does X pay for 1 million views?
About $1,230 per million verified impressions in this payout. Total views pay much less per million, because only the verified share of your audience counts. An account with 25% verified viewers would earn roughly a quarter of that per million total views.
Does Original Content Rewards pay less than Creator Revenue Sharing?
Not in my numbers. The first Original Content Rewards payout paid $1.23 per 1,000 verified impressions, against $1.28 in my last period under Creator Revenue Sharing. That is one account, so treat it as a strong hint rather than a rate card.
How often does X pay creators?
Every two weeks, with a $30 minimum. Creators in the US are paid through X Money; everywhere else through a Stripe account connected in Creator Studio.
How do you qualify for X Original Content Rewards?
You need Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business, at least 500 verified followers, and 500,000 verified Home timeline impressions in the last 90 days. Impressions on your replies do not count toward that bar. X then reviews your account for original content before approving it.
