Twitter Photo Downloader: Save X Images in Full Size
This Twitter photo downloader saves every image on a public post at full resolution, all four on a multi-image post. Choose the original file, JPG, PNG or WebP.
How to download photos from Twitter
- 1
Copy the link to the post. On X, tap Share, then Copy link. A link ending in /photo/1 works too.
- 2
Paste it above and tap Find Photos. Every photo on the post appears with its real pixel size.
- 3
Pick a format. Original keeps the uploaded file. JPG works everywhere, PNG suits screenshots, WebP is the smallest.
- 4
Tap Download on each photo. Each image saves in full size, named with the post id and photo number.
Full size, not the feed preview
The image you see in the X feed is a resized copy. This tool asks X for the original size, the largest version it keeps, so text in screenshots stays sharp and photos keep their detail. Each photo shows the width and height you will get.
Which format to pick
- Original is the exact file as uploaded. Best for most photos.
- JPG opens everywhere, from old phones to print shops.
- PNG adds no further compression. Good for screenshots and images you will edit.
- WebP is the smallest file, good for websites.
Save Twitter photos to your phone
- iPhone and iPad. Tap Download and confirm if Safari asks. The file goes to the Files app, under Downloads. Open it there, tap Share and choose Save Image to move it into Photos.
- Android. Chrome saves the file to your Downloads folder. Open it from the download notification or the Files app, and your gallery shows it from there.
- Inside the X app. X opens links in its own browser, which often cannot save files. Tap the menu in the corner, choose Open in browser, and download from Safari or Chrome.
- Desktop. The file lands in your Downloads folder, named climbx-, the post id and the quality.
Use it fairly
Download only posts you made yourself or have permission to use. Saving a clip for yourself is one thing; reposting someone else's work as your own is another. When in doubt, ask the creator and credit them.
Twitter photo downloader questions
- Is this Twitter photo downloader free?
- Yes. No signup, no watermark and no app. There is a fair-use cap of 60 post lookups and 120 file downloads per connection per day.
- Can I download all the photos from a post?
- Yes. A post with two, three or four photos shows every one, each with its own Download button. Phones block several downloads at once, so each photo saves with its own tap.
- Is PNG better quality than JPG?
- Not for a photo that was uploaded as a JPG. PNG keeps what is there without adding new compression, but it cannot restore detail and the file is larger. Pick Original for the exact uploaded file, or PNG for screenshots you plan to edit.
- Why is the downloaded image bigger than on X?
- Your feed shows a resized copy. The download asks X for its largest stored version, so the pixel size under the preview is often well above what the feed shows.
- Can I download a profile picture or header?
- Not with this tool. It saves images attached to posts. Paste a link to a post, not to a profile.
