X monetization requirements checker

Since September 2026, X pays creators through Original Content Rewards, which replaced Creator Revenue Sharing. To apply, you must meet all of these at the same time:

• Be 18 or older.
• Be based in a supported country (the full list is below).
• Hold an active Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business subscription.
• Have at least 500 verified followers.
• Have at least 500,000 Home timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days. Impressions on replies do not count.
• Have a personal or business account in good standing. Political and government accounts are not eligible.
• Post original content, then apply and pass X’s review.

   Find your numbers. X shows your eligibility status in Creator Studio under Original Content Rewards. Your analytics show verified followers and impressions.

   Enter impressions, followers and your plan. Use Home timeline impressions from verified users over the last 90 days. Leave replies out, because X does.

   Read the gap. Every missing requirement shows what is left. For impressions it also shows how many more a day you need across the next 90 days.

Meeting the bar once is not the end. X can remove accounts that use bots or automation to inflate engagement, post content that is not original, or keep asking people to like, reply, bookmark, follow or repost. Content focused only on monetization coaching, content with a helpful Community Note and automated posts also earn nothing. The engagement bait checker flags the asks that put you at risk.

What are the requirements for X monetization?

To join Original Content Rewards you need to be 18 or older, live in a supported country, hold an active Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business subscription, have at least 500 verified followers, and have at least 500,000 Home timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days. Your account must be in good standing, be a personal or business account, and post original content. Then you apply and X reviews it.

Does Premium Basic qualify for X monetization?

No. To join you need Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business. Basic does count on the other side: impressions from Basic subscribers are qualified impressions for creators who are in the program.

Do replies count toward the 500,000 impressions?

No. X counts Home timeline impressions from verified users on your posts and excludes impressions on replies. A reply-heavy account can see big numbers in analytics and still fall short of the bar.

Is X monetization available in India, Nigeria or Pakistan?

India and Nigeria are on X’s list of supported countries. Pakistan is not on the list as of September 27, 2026, so creators based there cannot apply yet. The full list is on this page and on X’s help page.

What happens if my application is rejected?

You can appeal once. If the appeal fails, you can reapply after 42 days as long as you still meet every requirement. Monetization that is paused for an earlier policy violation also blocks enrolment.

How much does X pay once I qualify?

Payouts are based on qualified impressions from Premium users and are paid every two weeks with a $30 minimum. Our payout calculator estimates the amount from your verified impressions, calibrated on a real $856.43 payout.
