   Start with a few words. A topic, a problem your customers describe, or a phrase you remember from an old post.

   Narrow it with filters. Add an account, a date range or a minimum number of replies. Each filter becomes an operator in the query.

   Open it on X. Latest shows the newest matches first. Top shows what X ranks highest. Copy the query to reuse it.

X does not publish these typed operators as a stable contract. Reference guides disagree about some older ones, such as location and source filters, so this builder sticks to the operators above. Test a new operator on a post you know should match before you rely on it.

The X app does not show the full Advanced Search form. You have two options on a phone. Build the query here and tap Open Latest on X. The link opens the search in your mobile browser or the app. Or copy the query and paste it into the app’s search bar, where the same operators work.

• It does not run the search or show results itself. X does that, and only for logged-in accounts.
• It cannot find deleted posts, posts from private accounts, or anything X search does not index.
• It does not save searches. Bookmark the X results page or keep the copied query.

How do I use Twitter advanced search on mobile?

The full Advanced Search form is a web feature on X.com. On a phone, build the query here and tap Open Latest on X: the x.com search link works in any mobile browser, and if the X app opens instead, the typed operators work in its search bar too.

How do I search Twitter by date?

Add since: and until: with dates written as year-month-day, for example since:2026-09-01 until:2026-10-01. since: includes that day. until: stops before its date, so set it one day after the last day you want.

Why is Twitter advanced search not working?

Check four things. You need to be logged in on X.com. Handles go after from: without the @ sign. until: excludes its own date, so a one-day range needs the next day as the end. And lang: relies on X guessing the language, so it can drop posts. If a query returns nothing, remove one operator at a time until results appear.

What is the syntax for Twitter advanced search?

Words separated by spaces must all appear. Quotes match an exact phrase, uppercase OR matches either word, and a minus sign excludes a word. Then add operators such as from:, to:, min_replies:, since:, until:, lang: and filter:links. The builder above writes the syntax for you.

Can I find posts with a minimum number of replies or likes?

Yes. min_replies:, min_faves: and min_retweets: work in the X search box. They are not available in the official X API v2 search, so tools built on that API cannot use them.

Does this tool need my X login?

No. It only builds the query and the link. You need to be logged in on X to see the results, because X shows advanced search results to signed-in accounts.
